It's been a long time, I shouldn't have left you, without a strong rhyme to step to
Hey folks, we’ve been quite busy over the last few months and finally we can share what we’ve been up to…
Earlier this year Capture Collective founder Damola Timeyin, was selected as the winning applicant of the HTC Community Project – set up by HTC to give a budding social entrepreneur support to bring their ambitions for their community to life.
Damola is now receiving mentoring from BBC Radio1’s Trevor Nelson and is recruiting for more young people from London to help grow the Capture Collective and get his project, which aims to unite communities through photography, off the ground.
The project will culminate in a photography exhibition in Hackney, based on the theme ‘your community’, showcasing photographs taken by the crew on HTC One phones. Visit http://htcuk.tumblr.com/ to keep up with our antics
This weekend The Capture Collective are bringing music & photography together to showcase a vision and a sound of London by Londoners.
From Friday to Sunday, you’ll see London inspired photography, hear music from London’s finest DJs, witness breakdancing & live rap performances, have an opportunity to get a new Facebook profile picture taken, explore Brick Lane on in our street photography workshop; photofreestyle and much more.
This escapade has been brought to you by The Capture Collective in conjunction with the good folk of Shellsuit Zombie and 55DSL as part of the Uncontained project.
